It started in the 1990s with a radio transmitter, sending packets of text and slow scan TV across the radio spectrum between the UK and other continents. Following up using snail mail by sending postcodes between fellow broadcasters. These were the days before facsimile (Fax).
There’s something satisfying about getting information from one point to another cleanly. That fascination with making a signal carry over distance never really went away.
It just moved into computing instead.
Daniel founded Millsit an Independent IT consultancy in 2012, tired of seeing technology deployed and managed badly.
The idea was simple: there’s a gap between everyday first-line IT support and the kind of senior expertise you need when something’s gone properly wrong, and most businesses don’t have anyone to call when they fall into it.
